Urenco Tails Management Facility
Projects is delighted to announce its selection as preferred electrical, control and instrumentation (EC&I) contractor for the new Tails Management Facility (TMF) at Urenco’s Capenhurst site.
Urenco, a leading global supplier of enriched uranium and associated technologies, has engaged Balfour Beatty Engineering Services in an early contractor involvement, for the design phase of their new TMF at the Capenhurst plant near Chester.
Our initial involvement will be design assistance and development of the target cost for the EC&I construction works, with project budgets expected to be in the region of £15m.
The management of this project will be overseen by our operations manager Ray Clements, who along with his staff at the Sellafield site, has many years experience of delivering similar projects in this specialist environment.
