Work is now complete on the new multi-storey car park, internal road and covered walkway at Morriston Hospital in Swansea.

This sectional handover is the second scheme of Phase 1a handed over for ‘Health Vision Swansea’ following the completion of the new helipad and surface car park in late 2009, with future phases at various stages of planning and design. This latest phase was completed and handed over a week ahead of programme.

The Hospital is part of the Abertawe Bro Morgannwg University Local Health Board and a Welsh Health Design for Life project with BAM Construction.

Both hospital staff and visitors at the formal handover warmly welcomed the new car parking facilities on 12 July.

The project team is now looking forward to the next phase of development with the new building for the main entrance, integrated education centre, retail outlets and endoscopy department.

Congratulations to the team.
