Balfour Beatty Engineering Services has been awarded a £1.6m contract to provide mechanical and electrical services to a new sports centre and boarding accommodation in Lincoln.

The Priory Lincolnshire School of Science and Technology (LSST), is a 1,700 pupil comprehensive school situated on Cross O'Cliff Hill, Lincoln, Lincolnshire, with up to 10% of pupils being chosen via a technological aptitude assessment.

Sustainable and innovative solutions being incorporated within this project include bathroom pods within the accommodation block, biomass boilers, heat recovery units, lighting presence detection and local supply chain / labour utilisation.

Russell Horner will manage BBES’ operations on this tenmonth project, supported by project manager Dave Roome. Works will be completed by summer 2011.
