Projects division has been awarded a £1.1M electrical and instrumentation contract at Sellafield, for Fellside Boiler Park.
BBES will supply and install electrical and instrumentation services supporting the procurement, construction, delivery and commissioning support of Fellside Boiler Park.
The primary purpose of Fellside Boiler Park is to supplement the existing Combined Heat and Power Plant (CHPP) to provide reliable steam supplies to the Sellafield site.
Following a due diligence exercise of the existing plant BBES will be responsible for the supply and installation of the low voltage distribution system, lighting systems and the reinstatement of boiler control and instrumentation systems and interfaces.
BBES innovation on this project includes time clock governed temporary lighting systems to minimise energy usage.
In support of Sustainability…a collective responsibility, early involvement in the due diligence exercise will look to recommend to the client where existing plant and equipment can be refurbished thus avoiding unnecessary waste to landfill.
Julian Dorgan, working with client Worley Parsons Europe Limited, will manage BBES’ works.
Works started on site early in the New Year and scheduled for completion July 2012.
