Building Services North has achieved preferred supplier status following the ‘perfect delivery’ of two prestigious projects.
During a presentation at a supply chain seminar held in March, Mark Simpson, Morgan Sindall’s regional supply chain manager commended Balfour Beatty Engineering Services’ excellent performance on the Airbus North Factory and RAF Valley projects which were awarded supply chain evaluation scores of 94% and 89% respectively. He described BBES’ scores as 'truly exceptional'.
Morgan Sindall is a regular customer for Building Services North with numerous projects completed for Salford Schools and the award of a recent project at Hopwood Hall Technology College in Oldham.
Regional director Mike Cooke said: "This award recognises our hard work and puts BBES on Morgan Sindall’s preferred supplier list. It is testament to the excellent teamwork, collaborative culture, innovative solutions and sustainable relationships created by senior project managers Gordon Binnie and his team at the Airbus North Factory and Mike Worrall and the team at RAF Valley. The benefits of this achievement include privileged future workload knowledge, preferential procurement routes and improved commercial terms."
Key to the success of the site activities on both projects was the use of BBES’ in-house design and 3D CAD teams supporting the innovative products manufactured at Modular Systems +, which include 9m horizontal service modules and a 250sq m prefabricated plant room.
