Large Employer of the Year
We are delighted to announce that BBES has been awarded the Large Employer of the Year award at the Liverpool Community College Employer Awards.
The award recognises Balfour Beatty Engineering Services (BBES) work with Liverpool Community College on the Foundation Degree in Building Services Engineering Services. Curriculum areas from around the college are asked to submit nominations for employers the college has worked with. The case study information submitted to the panel commended BBES’ commitment to the college over the years and commented that the relationship between the two organisations is regarded as a true partnership.
Ian Green, panel chairperson, adds: “Can I take the opportunity once again to thank BBES for their continued support of Liverpool Community College and we look forward to a continued excellent relationship.”
This is the latest success for BBES working with the college, recently the course was confirmed reaccredited by CIBSE and newly “endorsed” by Foundation Degree Forward (fdf) on behalf of SummitSkills. We have also just celebrated the graduation of ten employees with a BSc Honours in Building Services Engineering from the Liverpool Community College and Liverpool John Moores University partnership. Regional director Mike Cooke is pictured collecting the award on behalf of BBES from Elaine Bowker, principal, Liverpool Community College.
