The chief elements of this PFI funded project are a 683-bed Main Acute Services Centre at Pinderfields and a new Ambulatory Care and Diagnostic Centre at the Pontefract site with 69 beds.
Facilities at Pinderfields will include radiology, operating theatres, maternity, burns, rehabilitation, children's services, CCU, pathology, mortuary, consultants rooms and associated administrative offices.
Continuity of supply to existing facilities is key to the success of this project. This will be achieved by carefully planned enabling works including the provision of temporary steam boiler plant.
