This PFI project is being delivered in joint venture with Balfour Beatty Construction and comprises a 1,100-bed acute hospital and four mental health units.
From the initial stages of design development, a decision was made to follow an off-site construction strategy to bring safety, resource, quality and speed benefits to the project.
Over 600 shower and WC pods have been produced for the hospital. The project is also being supplied with off-site manufactured services risers, plant rooms, modular wiring, ward wall modules with services incorporated and more than 1,800 modules supporting ductwork, pipework and cable containment for the hospital.
