Rothamsted Research is a world leading agricultural research establishment. The new Centenary Laboratory houses 200 scientists, and provides both general purpose and highly specialised research facilities.
Office areas use the TermoDeck hollow-core planking system designed to provide a comfortable climate in a cost effective and environmentally friendly way. The system is controlled by a Building Management System which was linked into the existing site BMS.
The majority of pipework was pre-fabricated before delivery to site, overcoming site storage restrictions. Electrical services were also pre-fabricated with a modular wiring system being used.
